Why a whitelist?
The Nectar token is the first in an advanced set of tokens which has a built in whitelist. Building on the MiniMe ERC20 token framework we designed NEC to give huge flexibility and potential functionality. The whitelist means that only approved addresses can transfer the tokens over ethereum. This will mean that our KYC procedures can be extended on-chain, and that more sophisticated sybil protection will be possible for our future on-chain governance and voting mechanisms.
To whitelist your Ethereum address
1. Visit the NEC withdrawal page.
2. Choose the Ethereum address you would like to transfer Nectar to. Upon doing so, your address will be added to an approved whitelist, allowing you to send and receive Nectar on the Ethereum blockchain.
Please note that your Ethereum address must be whitelisted prior to receiving or sending Nectar tokens. A failure to whitelist your Ethereum address will result in a transaction failure causing funds to be returned to the sender address.
